Announces the position of
DIRECTOR/PASTOR OF STUDENT MINISTRIES (Full-Time)

Bay Farm Community Church has ministered to the Alameda/San Francisco Bay Area
for the past 20 years. Our Sunday attendance is approximately 450 people and
is complemented by specific ministries to children, youth and adults.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Has received Jesus Christ as personal Savior and has been baptized by immersion.
2. Demonstrates consistent spiritual maturity (1 Tim. 3:1-7)
3. Commits to continual spiritual growth and ministry education.
4. Has an Evangelical Christian commitment and demonstrates a lifestyle consistent with the church’s mission and vision statements.
5. Demonstrates the spiritual gifts of leadership and teaching (Eph. 4:12).
6. Demonstrates a passion for Middle, High School and College students.
7. Demonstrates a teachable spirit working within a staff team (2 Tim. 2:2).
8. Has minimum of 1 year experience working with youth.
9. Has a college degree and preferably Bible college/seminary training.

DUTIES: The primary duty of the Director/Pastor of Student Ministries is to oversee BFCC's entire ministry from Middle School through College-aged students.

1. Recruit and train:
   • volunteer adult youth leaders.
   • student leaders at church and on campus.
2. Plan and execute weekly:
   • Sunday morning teaching for Middle and High School students.
   • Separate evening ministries for Middle, High School and College students.
   • Oversight of small group meetings for Middle, High School and College students.
3. Plan and execute periodic:
   • service opportunities, outings and fellowship events for students.
   • Mission trips, camps and retreats for students.
   • ministries/opportunities for parents.
4. Plan, execute, and participate in on-campus student ministries.
5. Respond to the needs of students within boundaries set by the church.
6. Provide assistance in global church ministries as requested by pastoral staff.
7. Integrate the student ministries with the church as a whole.

ACCOUNTABILITY: The Director/Pastor of Student Ministries will be directly accountable to the Associate Pastor and will attend weekly staff meetings and periodic leadership meetings.
